Each resident is measured at the start and end of their stay in ten specific growth areas. In the scale used, a score of five is considered functional enough to succeed in life after the homes with limited risk of falling back into former life patterns. A ten, on the other hand, is completely healthy. Our goal is to achieve an outgoing score of at least a five in all ten areas when a person moves out of the homes. This goal is tempered by the rate at which it is possible for people to grow and the low scores our residents often have at the start of their time in the homes.
